Building Pichispink on Social Media: My Journey in Learning, Growing, and Staying True to My Brand

Creating my sustainable clothing shop, Pichispink, has been an incredible journey full of growth, creativity, and, yes, plenty of challenges. When I first began, I knew very little about using social media beyond casual, fun posts with friends. It was a space for laughs and lighthearted moments—not a serious marketing tool. But now, I’ve stepped into an entirely different world, learning to promote a brand I believe in, connect with customers, and carve out a unique space amidst huge competitors, all while keeping sustainability at the heart of Pichispink.


In the beginning, transitioning from seeing social media as a casual place to a platform for Pichispink was an adventure in itself. Daily content creation for an on-demand shop felt daunting, especially as I wanted each piece to capture the values behind Pichispink. Without the big budgets and resources of larger companies, every post has to count. I’ve spent countless hours experimenting with content creation—from photos to videos that show not just our products but the essence of what Pichispink stands for.


One of the funniest parts of this journey was discovering just how little I knew about the tools and resources available. For a while, I was making each video from scratch, piecing together mockups and content without realizing there were tools, apps, and even AI-driven software designed to make it all easier! Now, I’m finding my flow, using these tools to create content that still feels personal but is much more manageable. It’s amazing how quickly things change when you find efficient ways to bring your ideas to life!


Learning to understand my audience has been a huge part of the journey. It’s not just about what I love or find beautiful but also about exploring how my taste aligns with others, discovering which designs speak to people, and understanding how to make sustainable fashion approachable. Some days, the task list feels endless, and it’s easy to feel a bit defeated. But each time I pause, give myself a little break, I come back with fresh ideas and a renewed love for what I’m doing.


And it’s not just Instagram anymore! I’m branching out to TikTok, X, YouTube, Facebook, and Pinterest, finding ways to adapt Pichispink’s message for each platform. I experiment with different sounds, styles, and content variations, testing which approach resonates most. Recently, I’ve also started using AI tools for content creation, which has been a game-changer, helping me create engaging posts and streamline some of the marketing. There are times when I’m tired or feel like taking a break, but with everything I’ve put into Pichispink, I know consistency is key, and it’s what keeps the brand growing.


What keeps me going, day after day, is the love I have for what I’m creating. I’m learning so much, from brand-building to understanding how to market sustainably on social media. It’s challenging, yes, but also incredibly rewarding. Every post, every new design, and each connection made with customers is another step forward in sharing Pichispink with the world. There’s a long way to go, but I’m excited to see where this journey leads and proud of how far we’ve come, one post at a time.
