  • We've joined forces with leading printing companies renowned for their top-quality, eco-friendly technology.

  • These trusted partners employ water-based inks to create prints that are vibrant and long-lasting while prioritizing minimal wastewater generation and lower energy consumption, setting new industry standards.

3. We prioritize durability and longevity in our products. Each item is made to order, eliminating the risk of overstocking and resulting in zero waste. Through this approach, we're not only crafting fashionable pieces but also contributing to a cleaner, greener planet.

4. Every product carrying the Pichispink name is a masterpiece of design. We take immense pride in curating unique patterns and designs that embody our creative vision. Information about production

Each product you see in our catalog is made on demand, once you place an order, our providers produce it specifically for you. This allows us to avoid overproduction and textile waste, and we’re continuously working toward greener production.

Because each product is made on demand, It takes time for us to create and send out the product, but making each order on-demand allows us to avoid overproduction. This way we get to take care of you and the planet we all share.

Circular and Renewable

Some of our products are designed to be sent back when it's worn out as one of our providers will make new products from the materials recovered.

Remill is a technology and service designed to keep good material in use and flowing. Some people use it as an example of circular economy design in action. Material is recovered and remanufactured into new products. By creating new products from old ones, the loop is closed and waste is designed out.

When items wear out, customers scan a QR code on the label to send them back. In return, they get store credit to spend on the future purchase of a circular economy product.

Information about printing tech and materials

Direct-to-garment printing:

This method is typically used for products with high cotton fabric content, like t-shirts,

hoodies, tote bags, etc.

Our clothing designs are fulfilled using various methods as we have different providers.

Many of our products are printed with

the direct-to-garment (DTG) technique, which is a printing method where ink is first sprayed directly onto the garment, and then it soaks into the fabric. It’s like printing on paper, but on clothing.  Kornit printers and high-performance Brother GTX Pro-B DTG generate almost zero wastewater and use less energy than standard industry printers, which lowers our carbon footprint.

Different providers, different ways.

The inks we use for printing are Oeko-Tex™ certified, vegan, water-based, and free of harmful chemicals. Pichispink takes sustainability seriously, that’s why we take care to properly dispose of any left-over ink according to the ink supplier guidelines.

Digital printing utilizes much less ink and water compared to traditional processes like screen printing. The ink used is certified by SGS. From cutting, sewing, and ironing to inspection and packaging, the production process is fully compliant with the WRAP Production Principles.

At Pichispink,  our products are embroidered with Oeko-Tex™ certified threads, meaning they’re safe for both adult and children's clothing. Compared to printing, embroidery is generally more durable and produces less environmental waste.

 Fabrics and Materials

There are a lot of reasons why a product or material could be considered sustainable. Currently,

at Pichispink our suppliers use different materials, here you can read about the materials used:

  • Fabric – Our recycled polyester uses PET as the raw material. We source this from clear plastic water bottles, so less of it ends up in a landfill. Recycled polyester uses less energy to process than virgin polyester. The greige yarns we use are certified by the Global Recycled Standard (GRS).

  • Zipper – Our zippers consist of two elements. Our tape is made of 100% recycled polyester and our teeth consist of 69% recycled POM. They stand up to quality tests without compromising on the environment.

  • Hang Tags – The hang tags we use to put on your branding elements are printed on paper that is certified by The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).

  • Packaging – Plastic bags start out as fossil fuels and end up as deadly waste in oceans and landfills. In order to minimize the impact on the environment, it uses packaging made of plant-based materials that are certified by DAkkS.

  • 100% premium cotton fabric. Some products are made from organic cotton and printed in the UK in a renewable energy-powered factory and others are made in China.

  • eco-friendly product collection consisting of items made of at least 70% organic or recycled materials, or a mix of these materials.

  • products are packed in post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic mailers. The amount of PCR in the packaging will differ depending on where your order gets printed, but it’s at least 50% for the outside (white or grey) poly mailer bags and at least 30% for the inside (clear) bags used in multi-item shipments.

  • PCR packaging is made from everyday items, like used plastic bags and bottles. This material protects your order just as well as regular plastic bags, however, choosing PCR over first-use plastics reduces the environmental impact plastic has on our planet.

  • Rip and splash-proof mailer bag made out of paper. Big orders come in cardboard boxes, with paper-based tape.

How is print-on-demand (POD) more sustainable than conventional manufacturing

Traditional retailers produce items before putting them up for sale, so they’re always manufactured in bulk to save money.

Make-To-Order

Using recycled material is not good enough. We need to ensure the production of our products and apparel is done in a sustainable manner. Our entire business model of “make-to-order” is built on having zero inventory and zero waste production. Our technology enables our customers and manufacturers to operate on demand. We only make what is ordered!
